Duck on a Rainy Day

It's been raining this whole week and my kids (and me) are "suffering" from boredom. I say I am because I have to listen to them complain. So, I came up with this cute rainy day duck craft. To make this craft, you will need:

1 paper plate
Purple construction paper
Yellow construction paper
Orange construction paper
Black construction paper
Yellow and purple markers
One googly eye

First, cut a paper plate in half and have your child color 1 half purple (or another color) for the umbrella and the other half yellow for the duck's body. Cut out a circle out of yellow construction paper for the head and glue on the googly eye. Trace your child's hand out of the yellow construction paper and glue it on the body of the duck for the wing. Cut out a wide "V" shape out of the orange construction paper for the beak and glue it to the back of the head. For the rain boots, cut out two wide "L" shapes out of the purple paper and glue them to the back of the yellow paper plate. Then cut a long handle out of the black construction paper for the umbrella handle.
