It's Springtime and I wanted to come up with some seasonal learning activities. Watching the beautiful butterflies land on the flowers that have finally bloomed in our garden inspired this fun learning activity. I cut out flowers and butterflies from white paper, added upper and lowercase letters on them and had the kids color them in. Then, we had a lesson where my younger ones matched the letters up. Afterwards, I was able to take the opportunity to teach them about butterflies getting their nectar from plants. That's what I love about these teaching lessons. I'm usually able to expand on other subjects.
